Create Service Associations
Fleet Maintenance Pro provides the ability for you to associate parts, labor, and service procedure notes with preventive maintenance. Therefore, when preventive maintenance tasks are due and populated on the work order, Fleet Maintenance Pro will also automatically indicate the parts and/or labor required, as well as outline procedure notes.
To begin, go to Setup > Service Associations on the main menu screen. The available PM schedules are listed in the "Schedule" drop-down listing. The corresponding equipment assigned to the selected schedule will be listed in the "Equipment" list box. You can then begin assigning parts, labor, costs, or instructions to the PM services and repairs. Choose the specific vehicle from the list, or select multiple units by holding down your Control key as you click on the unit.
1. Parts: assign parts from the parts database to a particular PM service for a unit. When generating a work order, these parts will automatically populate in the "Parts" section when the PM service is selected. Alternatively, you can specify the parts cost only.
2. Labor: assign an employee or vendor to a particular PM service for a unit. When generating a work order, the employee/vendor will automatically populate in the "Labor" section when the PM service is selected. As with Parts, you can also opt for a cost-only association.
3. Procedure: simply type any special instruction in the box provided. Be sure to select the desired service from the drop-down menu to make sure that any notes entered are associated with that specific service!
NOTE! In addition to any manually created Service Association, Fleet Maintenance Pro will also intuitively suggest additional associations based on previously added parts or labor.
