Bar Code Scanner: Assign Bar Code To Part

The bar-coding ability in Fleet Maintenance Pro (Shop Edition) and Maintenance Pro (Professional Edition) allows you to scan the UPC code directly from your parts into work orders, parts inventory, invoices, and purchase orders using a handheld barcode scanner.

Assigning the bar code to a part

1. Click on the "Parts" button along the upper toolbar.

2. Add or Edit a part.

3. On the part's "Identification" tab, enter the bar code or UPC code for that particular part.

4. Save. That's it! Now you're ready to scan the bar code while on various data entry windows in the
software.
