Bar Code Scanner: Work Order Entry

The bar-coding ability in Fleet Maintenance Pro (Shop Edition) and Maintenance Pro (Professional Edition) allows you to scan the UPC code directly from your parts into work orders, parts inventory, invoices, and purchase orders using a handheld barcode scanner.

When you generate a work order, you can scan the parts used to perform the services and the part information will automatically be recorded onto the work order.

Adding the part to a specific task:

1. Issue a Work Order 

2. Click Add or Edit on the Maintenance tab to add or edit a task

2. Scan the bar code. The part will appear. Simply adjust the quantity if needed, and save
