Bar Code Scanner: Parts Inventory Entry

The bar-coding ability in Fleet Maintenance Pro (Shop Edition) and Maintenance Pro (Professional Edition) allows you to scan the UPC code directly from your parts into work orders, parts inventory, invoices, and purchase orders using a handheld barcode scanner.

The " Parts Inventory Management" screen allows you to enter new inventory items. When you are entering parts into the inventory using a barcode scanner, you can simply scan the barcode from your part and the UPC code will auto-populated to the UPC data field on the "Add New Part" screen. 

Enter the additional part information then click the " Save" button to save your new part. In addition, if you need to edit a part's information, just click the "Parts" button on the main menu toolbar to open the "Parts Inventory Management" screen and scan the part UPC code. The "Edit Part" screen for this part will display allowing you to modify information for the scanned part. Click the "Save" button when finished.
